About Tracy
Slow Travel Homes was created to help slow travelers, retirees, and internationally minded clients better understand the realities of relocating, purchasing property abroad, and building a more intentional life across borders. For many people, the dream begins with a beautiful listing, a favorite city, or the feeling that life could be simpler somewhere else. But the real decisions are more complex. Where should you start? Should you rent first or buy? What questions should you ask before trusting a local agent, developer, attorney, or visa adviser? How do you compare lifestyle, budget, property risk, and long-term flexibility before making a major move?
Founded by Tracy Fetter, a California licensed real estate professional since 2006, Slow Travel Homes brings together nearly two decades of residential real estate experience, pricing strategy, client advisory work, project management, and firsthand international property research. Having traveled to more than 20 countries and personally purchased property internationally, Tracy brings firsthand experience to the realities of relocation planning, cross-border property research, and building a practical life abroad. Tracy has worked with buyers, sellers, homeowners, families, estates, and trusts through important real estate decisions, and brings that same client-centered perspective to people exploring life abroad.
Slow Travel Homes is not about rushing people into a purchase or selling a fantasy version of international living. It is about helping clients slow down, organize their questions, understand their options, and prepare for better conversations with the right local professionals. Whether someone is considering Thailand, Europe, Southeast Asia, or another long-stay destination, the goal is to provide a grounded starting point before they sell a home, sign a lease, wire money, or fall in love with a property listing.
Slow Travel Homes does not provide legal, tax, immigration, investment, or foreign brokerage services. Instead, we help clients think clearly, identify the issues they may not know to ask about, and connect with qualified professionals where appropriate. For many clients, the most valuable part of the process is simply having someone experienced to talk to while navigating unfamiliar systems, cultures, and decisions.
Today, Slow Travel Homes operates remotely while traveling throughout Southeast Asia and other international destinations, providing guidance to clients seeking clarity, preparation, and confidence before making major international lifestyle and property decisions.
